Snow Emergency Still In Effect

Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. until Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 8:00 p.m.

Snow emergency details BEGINNING on Tuesday, January 27th at 8:00 p.m.

The first 24-hours of the snow emergency ALL vehicles must be parked on the even numbered side of the street.

The last 24-hours of the snow emergency ALL vehicles must be parked on the odd numbered side of the street.

If your vehicle is parked on the wrong side of the street during the snow emergency, your vehicle will be ticketed and towed to allow DGS to safely remove snow from the streets.

If your vehicle has been towed you can call APD's non-emergency number for further information (518) 438-4000.
Residents are reminded to move their vehicles to the designated sides of the street so the City of Albany Department of General Services can effectively clear the roadways and ensure emergency service vehicles have access.

APD officers and Parking Authority will attempt to notify vehicle owners using a PA system or a loud air horn may be used. If the vehicle owner cannot be located or does not respond, the vehicle will be towed.
The snow emergency detail will be focused on the congested areas tonight, Wednesday January 28, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. mainly in the Center Square and Mansion areas.
