DUI Suspect Arrested After Collision

On Monday, January 26th, 2025 at approximately 8:32pm, officers responded a traffic collision at the intersection of Lakeville Street and Pine View Way.
The investigation determined the driver, later identified as Vincent Schrader (59, Sonoma) had traveled the wrong direction around a concrete barrier that was in place for a roadway closure, resulting in a collision with another vehicle which was occupied by a solo victim. Officers contacted the driver at the scene, who displayed several signs of impairment.
Following a DUI investigation, the driver was arrested for:
- Driving under the influence of narcotics causing injury
- Driving the wrong way on a divided roadway
Schrader also had two dogs inside the vehicle, one of which was injured and taken by North Bay Animal Shelter to be evaluated. Schrader was taken into custody and ultimately transported to Sonoma County jail. The victim was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
