Facilities Closed Thursday, Jan. 29 | Emergency Warming Centers
As winter weather and dangerously cold temperatures continue across our region, M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County will be closed on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
While facilities are closed, the Department remains focused on resident safety and will continue operating designated emergency warming centers to ensure countywide access to heated spaces during this weather event.
Warming Centers Open Thursday, January 29:

Rollingcrest-Chillum Community Center – Open 24 hours

Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex – 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

Suitland Community Center – 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
The following childcare centers will also be closed:

Glenridge Childcare Center

Prince George’s County Employees Childcare Center
Status subject to County opening updates.
Residents are encouraged to take precautions, limit unnecessary travel, and check on neighbors who may need assistance. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as they become available.
