Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a robbery incident.
On January 28th at approximately 2:49 p.m., a member of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 500 block of North Walnut Street in reference to a late report of a robbery. Police made contact with the victim and obtained information of the robbery that occurred on January 27th at approximately 6:00 p.m. in the 300 block of East 8th Street. Police obtained a description of the suspect and responded to the 300 block of East 8th Street. Police made contact with 24-year-old Albert Washington. After further investigation Washington was identified as the suspect from the robbery incident. Washington was taken into custody without incident.
Washington has been charged with the following offenses:
- Robbery (First Degree)
- Criminal Mischief Under $1000
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $60,100 cash-only bail.
