Children’s Clothing Swap. Sunday, 2/1
Sustainable Highland Park invites you to a Children’s Clothing Swap from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Zone 6 Teen Center, 600 Benner Street. Shoppers can choose from a variety of gently used children's clothes that have been donated by fellow Highland Parkers. Questions – please email [email protected].
Borough Council Meeting, Tuesday, 2/3 & 2/17
The Mayor and Council hold their regularly scheduled meetings pursuant to the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-8(b). Meetings are held in person at Borough Hall, 221 South 5th Avenue, Highland Park, NJ at 7:00 pm. As a convenience, the Borough provides the public the option to attend meetings remotely through Zoom. The meeting agenda and support materials are posted in Borough Hall and on the Borough website at least 48 hours before the scheduled meeting.
Free Health Screenings, Friday, 2/6
American Preventative Screening and Education Association will be coming to the Highland Park Community Center from 9:00 am to 11:00 am to offer free screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose, BMI Body Composition, waist circumference, grip strength, and preventive health education. No registration required.
Valentine’s Day Card Making Workshop, Sunday, 2/8

Black Heritage in Horse Racing Exhibit, Saturday, 2/21
In honor of Black History Month in February, Stable Futures is partnering with the Borough’s Zone 6 Teen Center to present the Kentucky Derby Museum's "Black Heritage In Racing" exhibit. The exhibit highlights the profound contributions of African Americans in the early years of the Kentucky Derby. Big hats and fancy attire encouraged! Repair Café, Sunday, 2/22
Do you have a broken item that you just don’t have the heart to throw out or anything else that you’re holding onto that needs fixing? Well you’re in luck! Bring them to the Highland Park’s first ever Repair Café from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South Sixth Avenue. If you would like to volunteer on that day please complete the form.

Free Groceries from H.P. Gives a Hoot, Tuesdays, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17 & 2/24 Wednesdays 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 2/25 and Fridays 2/6, 2/13, 2/20 & 2/27
Highland Park Gives a Hoot offers free groceries to Highland Park families in need of support. Distributions are every Tuesday & Wednesday (except holidays) from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Zone 6 Teen Center, 600 Benner Street.
Highland Park Community Food Pantry Distribution, Thursdays 2/12 & 2/26 and Saturdays 2/14 & 2/28
The Highland Park Community Food Pantry distribution takes place at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 9:00 to 10:45 am and 6:00 to 7:00 pm and on the second and fourth Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Highland Park Recreation Programs
Highland Park Recreation offers a variety of adult, youth and winter programs. Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for a 60% discount on all programs offered by the Borough.
