Winter Weather Advisory until 04:00PM Saturday

* WHAT...Two periods of accumulating lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations could locally exceed 4 inches, particularly near the Indiana state line.

* WHERE...Eastern Will County.

* WHEN...For the first Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to midnight CST tonight. For the second Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 AM to 4 PM CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow is expected to impact the area in two waves. The first will occur through this evening, before the lake effect band shifts east into Indiana for a period tonight. The band of snow is then expected to shift back westward into parts of northeastern Illinois Saturday morning, and this could result in additional localized accumulations and travel impacts.
