There are no current active threats in Downtown Redwood City. Redwood City Police Department received an alleged bomb threat at 11:03 a.m. Because RCPD takes all threats seriously, officers immediately responded and investigated the limited information provided by the caller. Out of an abundance of caution, the public was notified as appropriate. Based on the information available, we determined that evacuations were not necessary. Again, at this time, there is no known threat to the public. We are concluding the investigation and will issue a press release with additional information.
