The warm water siphon from the Dresden Cooling Lake has been turned on in an effort to melt a channel on the Kankakee River and move ice downstream and avoid jams.
Please STAY OFF the Kankakee River. Ice can shift or break with little warning quickly creating a very dangerous situation for yourself, and first responders.
