Cold Weather Advisory continues; County offices closed Monday
According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, a Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect from 6 p.m. tonight, February 1, through 9 a.m. tomorrow, February 2. As temperatures drop overnight, the likelihood of snowmelt refreezing increases, heightening the risk of black ice and prolonging hazardous travel conditions.
Motorists are urged to use extreme caution, especially on roads that are less traveled, shaded areas, bridges, and overpasses, where ice may not be visible.
Due to these conditions, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office administrative offices and other Beaufort County facilities will be closed on Monday, February 2.
