As of today, February 2, 2026, Skagway Police Department has a full time, year-round, Community Service Officer, Tim Shelby. CSO Shelby is immediately going to start enforcing Municipal Code regarding abandoned vehicles, vehicles parked for more than 30 days, trailers parked over 24 hours on a city street to include boat, cargo, and campers. CSO Shelby has a goal of getting all abandoned vehicles off the roadways before April 15, 2026.
