As of Feb. 2, 2026, Petaluma Fire & EMS crews have temporarily relocated to an interim station at the former Casa Grande Motel, 307 Petaluma Blvd S, while the D Street Fire Station (corner of D & 2nd Streets) undergoes major renovations.
Fire & EMS response will continue without interruption. Administrative staff are operating from leased offices near 161 2nd Street.
Renovations include critical seismic upgrades, removal of asbestos and lead materials, and safety and facility improvements. Construction is expected to be completed in Spring 2027. The station’s historic exterior and features—including the fire pole and bell tower—will be preserved.
