If you experienced a Con Edison power outage that lasted more than 12 hours within a 24-hour period, you may be eligible for reimbursement for spoiled food or prescription medication.

• File within 30 days of the outage.

• Residential claims: up to $580 for food. Itemized list and proof of actual loss (e.g receipts  or photos) required for claims over $250

• Prescription medication losses may be claimed separately with proof of loss.

• Commercial claims: up to $11,460 for perishable merchandise.
