INCIDENT: HS 11377(A) - Possession of a Controlled Substance
HS 11395(B)(1) - Possession of a Controlled Substance with 2 or More Priors
LOCATION: Needles Hwy / I 40 Off Ramp, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Michael Fowler, 61 Years Old, Resident of Lake Elsinore
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at approximately 10:15 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Needles Hwy and the I40 Off Ramp for vehicle code violations. During the investigation of the stop, deputies located suspected methamphetamine in Fowler's possession.
Fowler was consequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Fowler was also found to have been arrested two or more times for Possession of a Controlled substance and was additionally charged with HS 11395(B)(1)- Possession of a Controlled Substance with 2 or More Priors.
Fowler remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
