DATE/TIME: Sunday, February 1, 2026, at approximately 8:21 p.m.
INCIDENT: PC 245(A)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Not a Firearm)
LOCATION: 2000 block of Luna Vista, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Christian Molina, 18 Years Old, Resident of Needles
VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL
SUMMARY: On Sunday, February 1, 2026, at approximately 8:21 p.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 2000 block of Luna Vista in reference to an assault.
When deputies arrived on scene, they met with the victim who had injuries conclusive with an assault. It was found that the suspect had thrown a metal object at a witness and then proceeded to assault the victim.
The suspect, later identified as Christian Molina, was observed striking the victim and had to be restrained by family members. Molina was able to break free and fled the scene prior to deputies' arrival.
During the subsequent investigation, deputies located Christian Molina in the area a short time later. Molina was arrested on the above-mentioned charges and booked at the Colorado River Station jail. Molina remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
