Suspect Flees Deputies, Jumps Fences Before Being Found Hiding in Backyard

INCIDENT: Trespassing
LOCATION: 10000 block of Deer Canyon Dr., Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Amir Cherry, 31-year-old, Transient Male, Rancho Cucamonga
SUMMARY: At about 9:04 A.M., deputies responded to the 10000 block of Deer Canyon Drive in reference to a transient male in the reporting party’s backyard. Upon deputies' arrival the suspect, identified as Amir Cherry, fled from deputies and jumped over neighboring fences. Deputies formed a perimeter and requested aviation support. During their search, deputies located Cherry hiding in the backyard of another residence.
Cherry was arrested for trespassing and transported to ARMC for a pre-booking medical evaluation. He was then booked at the Central Detention Center.
