Newark, California (Monday, February 02, 2026)
On Sunday, February 01, 2026, at approximately 3:38PM, Newark Police Officers responded to a residence on Mulberry Street to investigate a suspicious death. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim was identified as a 36-year-old Newark resident.
The Newark Police Department Detective Unit is actively investigating this case as a homicide. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the cause of death, are still being assessed. The Newark Police Department extends its heartfelt condolences to the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time.
