In order to provide better pedestrian and vehicular access and mobility in areas that remain partially blocked by snow, the Department of Public Works will be conducting overnight snow removal operations in the core downtown area on Tuesday, February 3, and Thursday, February 5.
Parking will be prohibited between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM on the following streets:
Tuesday, February 3
- Prospect Street, between North Avenue and East Broad Street
- Elm Street, from North Avenue to the Trader Joe's lot
- East Broad Street, from North Avenue to Mountain Avenue
Thursday, February 5
- Remaining areas from Tuesday's operations that require additional work (Town will advise in advance)
- Central Avenue from East Broad Street to Lenox Avenue
- Entire length of Quimby Street
- Lenox Avenue from Central Avenue to Elmer Street
Please be advised that the Westfield Police Department will be providing temporary street closures to assist in efficient snow removal operations and will issue tickets to any cars in violation of these temporary parking restrictions. Residents who need access to downtown parking during these times may park in Lot 4 (behind Baron's) or in Lot 1 (adjacent to Trader Joe's).
