Deputy Tre Spearman with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Ben Lee Capps, 49, of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine. He was given a secured bond of $5,000.
On Saturday, Jan. 17, Deputy Spearman initiated a vehicle stop on Capps in the Glenwood area.
A subsequent search of the vehicle by deputies turned up a suspected amount of methamphetamine and syringes.
The N.C. State Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.
