Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Investigators are investigating a fatal traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, February 2, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m. The collision occurred on Pacific Coast Highway, east of West Winding Way.
A preliminary investigation revealed that an adult female was driving a green Lexus SUV eastbound on Pacific Coast Highway in the number two lane. As the vehicle passed West Winding Way, it struck a pedestrian who was walking eastbound in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene. Preliminary investigation showed no signs of driving under the influence, speed, or distracted driving by the driver. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
