Three Juvenile Suspects Arrested in Robbery

On February 1, 2026, Culver City Police officers arrested three juvenile suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred near the southeast corner of Sepulveda Boulevard and Slauson Avenue.

At approximately 6:58 p.m., officers responded to reports of a robbery involving a teenage victim who had been approached by three suspects while walking to a transportation center. One of the suspects displayed what appeared to be a handgun and asked the victim, “Where are you going?” The suspects then forcibly took the victim’s property, which included headphones and a pair of shoes, before fleeing from the area on foot.

Officers quickly located the victim nearby, obtained suspect descriptions, and issued an area-wide broadcast. Based on information that the suspects fled into a nearby residential neighborhood, officers established a perimeter and requested assistance from neighboring law enforcement agencies and an airship unit.

During the coordinated search, one juvenile suspect was detained near Diller Avenue and Culver Park Drive, where officers recovered a replica handgun and additional evidence. Two additional juvenile suspects were later located and apprehended in the Segrell Way area with the assistance of a helicopter using thermal imaging technology.

Surveillance video helped police confirm the involvement of the three suspects. Officers also recovered items consistent with the victim’s property taken. The three juveniles were taken into custody and booked for robbery-related offenses.

This response involved assistance from multiple agencies, and the Culver City Police Department extends its appreciation to our regional law enforcement partners for their assistance.

The Culver City Police Department remains committed to the safety of everyone who lives, works, and visits our city.
