TOWNSHIP MANAGER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF
CHIEF RAYMOND J. HAYDUCKA, JR.
South Brunswick Township Manager Bryan Bidlack issued the following announcement regarding the retirement of Chief Raymond J. Hayducka, Jr.
I am announcing that Chief Raymond J. Hayducka, Jr. will be retiring effective September 1, 2026. He has served the South Brunswick community for 38 years and 21 years as the Chief of Police. We appreciate all that he has done for the Township and will miss his leadership and professionalism.
I am also announcing that Deputy Chief James Ryan will be promoted to the position of Chief of Police on September 1, 2026. He will continue to work closely with Chief Hayducka over the next few months in order to have a smooth transition.
Mayor Charlie Carley said, “The South Brunswick community thanks Chief Hayducka for 21 years of leadership of the South Brunswick Police Department and over 40 years in law enforcement. His unwavering commitment to professionalism has advanced our police department, which is recognized across the state as one of the finest agencies in New Jersey. I am confident that the Chief will remain a reliable voice for the safety of our town.”
