The Hawthorne Police Department Traffic Bureau advises residents that Emergency NO PARKING signs are being posted for Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the following locations:
Westervelt Avenue

NO PARKING on the SOUTH curb line

Corresponds with the even-numbered addresses

When traveling downhill, this applies to the right-hand side of the roadway
Prescott Avenue

NO PARKING on the NORTH curb line
-
From North 8th Street to North 16th Street

When traveling uphill, this applies to the right-hand side of the roadway
Hawthorne Avenue

NO PARKING on both sides of the roadway

From Kingston Avenue to Warburton Avenue
These temporary restrictions are necessary to allow the Hawthorne Department of Public Works to conduct snow removal operations, ensuring safe access for residents, emergency services, and municipal equipment.
NO PARKING restrictions will go into effect at 6:00 AM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, the same as today’s posting.
Vehicles must be removed prior to this time. Vehicles remaining in violation may be subject to enforcement.
