INCIDENT: PC 245(A)(4) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon Causing Great Bodily Injury
LOCATION: 700 block of Downey Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Rick Ciaccia, 47-years-old, Resident of Needles
VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at approximately 11:46 p.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a disturbance in the 700 block of Downey Street in the City of Needles.
Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male suffering from a head injury. The victim was treated at the scene and subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
During the investigation, deputies determined that the suspect Rick Ciaccia, allegedly struck the victim on the head with a metal object during an altercation. As a result of the investigation, Ciaccia was arrested on the above mentioned charges and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.
Ciaccia remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $40,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
