February 5, 2026 as of 1:20 p.m.: Officers have secured the school and did not locate any threats to the campus. The shelter-in-place order was lifted at 1:15 p.m. Kennedy High School has resumed normal operations.
February 5, 2026 as of 1:00 p.m.: Fremont Police School Resource Officers and Patrol Officers are currently on scene at Kennedy High School, following a hotline call from an individual reporting a possible threat at the school. The school is currently under a shelter-in-place order. This remains an open investigation at this time as Fremont Police secures the campus and looks for any suspicious activities.
