Sheriff’s Office investigates a series of residential burglaries in northern Beaufort County
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of residential burglaries that occurred in northern Beaufort County between January 31 and February 2.
During this three-day period, at least nine homes were broken into, under the darkness of night, in areas from Lady’s Island to St. Helena Island. In each case, the suspects rummaged through residences, causing property damage and stealing various items. Stolen property includes liquor, power tools, firearms, and other valuables.
Surveillance footage from several of the affected homes captured images of the suspects. Investigators are asking the public to take a close look at the videos and photos being released.
In addition, residents in the impacted areas are asked to review their home surveillance footage for any suspicious activity during the listed dates and times. Even small details may be helpful to the investigation.
