Deputies Arrest Needles Man Wanted on a Felony Fugitive Warrant from Texas

LOCATION: 2000 Block of El Monte Drive, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Gabriel Garcia, 26 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): N/A
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, detectives from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department received information from authorities in Montgomery County, Texas, indicating that a fugitive may be residing in the City of Needles. Following an investigation, detectives determined that the suspect, Gabriel Garcia was living in Needles, California.
On Thursday, February 5, 2026, at approximately 10:58 a.m., deputies and detectives from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department apprehended Gabriel Garcia at his residence in the 2000 block of El Monte Drive without incident. Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.
Garcia remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with no bail, while awaiting extradition to Montgomery County, Texas. This investigation remains ongoing.
