SUSPECT(S): Daniel Valdez, 32-year-old, Resident of Pomona,
Jose Valdez, 25-year-old, Resident of Pomona.
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On February 5, 2026, at 8:52 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a stolen electric bicycle from the Ruben S. Ayala High School campus located in the 14200 block of Peyton Drive. The victim reported his Swift Pro electric bicycle, valued at approximately $1,200, was taken from a bike rack while he was attending class.
As a result of the investigation, deputies identified and arrested Daniel Valdez, for Penal Code 487 (Grand Theft), Penal Code 496 (Possession of Stolen Property), and Penal Code 182 (Conspiracy).
On February 6, 2026, deputies obtained and served a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of West Mission Boulevard in the City of Pomona, where the stolen electric bicycle was recovered. During the service of the warrant, deputies arrested Jose Valdez for violations of Penal Code 487 (Grand Theft) and Penal Code 182 (Conspiracy).
During the search, deputies also recovered two Segway scooters and a white OHV electric bicycle, all of which are suspected to be stolen. The investigation remains ongoing as deputies work to identify additional victims and determine the rightful ownership of the recovered property.
