1. Pursuit Arrest (1646) Mariposa Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard, Park District
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop on a reported stolen vehicle near the listed call location. The driver failed to yield, leading officers on a pursuit. The suspect collided with a median and fled on foot. Officers in the area took the suspect into custody without further incident. ARRESTED: Jorge Martinez, 40, for pursuit charges.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1742) 700 Block of Cambridge Drive, Lakeview District
The female victim, 38, went to an area residence to gather her belongings. While there, the known suspect forced the victim to the ground and began to cut her hair with a razor. The victim was eventually able to flee. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined medical attention. SUSPECT: White male adult.
3. Weapon Arrest (0229) Tiffany Street and Fiesta Plaza, Park District
Officers conducted an enforcement stop of a vehicle for traffic violations. A search of the vehicle revealed that one of the occupants was in possession of a handgun. ARRESTED: Jasper Booker, 47, for weapon charges.
4. Battery on an Officer (0351) 700 Block of East Hammer Lane, Valley Oak District
The suspect fled from the scene of a collision at the listed location but was later located by officers and arrested. The suspect was taken to an area hospital, where the suspect became combative, kicked an officer, and force was used to subdue her. The officer was uninjured. ARRESTED: Velvet King, 21, for battery on an officer, resisting arrest, driving under the influence, and hit and run.
