LOCATION: National Trails Highway / Wilderness Court, Victorville
INVOLVED PARTY(#1): George Butterfield, 71-years-old, Resident of Helendale, (Deceased)
SUMMARY: On Saturday, February 7, 2026, at approximately 6:24 p.m., Deputies from the Victorville city police station, along with Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel responded to the area of National Trails Highway and Wilderness Court for a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle rider, Party #1, drove north bound on National Trails Highway. A white Mazda 3, driven by Party #2, drove south bound on National Trails Highway. Party #1 lost control of vehicle #1 and veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into Party #2 . Members of the Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
National Trails Highway was closed for about three hours for the investigation.
