The Hawthorne Police Department Traffic Bureau advises residents that Emergency NO PARKING signs have been posted for snow removal operations on the following streets:

Wednesday, February 11, 2026
Effective beginning at 6:00 AM

Rea Avenue

  • From 4th Avenue to Goffle Road

  • NO PARKING on the SOUTH curb line

  • Corresponds with even-numbered addresses

  • When traveling from 4th Avenue toward Goffle Road, this applies to the left-hand side of the roadway

5th Avenue

  • From Horton Avenue to Van Winkle Avenue

  • NO PARKING on the WEST curb line

  • Corresponds with even-numbered addresses

  • When traveling from Horton Avenue toward Van Winkle Avenue, this applies to the left-hand side of the roadway

East Prospect Street

  • From North 17th Street to Outlook Avenue

  • NO PARKING on the WEST curb line

  • Corresponds with even-numbered addresses

  • When traveling from North 17th Street toward Outlook Avenue, this applies to the left-hand side of the roadway

Prospect Street

  • From North 17th Street to Knoble Place

  • NO PARKING on the WEST curb line

  • Corresponds with even-numbered addresses

These temporary restrictions are necessary to allow the Hawthorne Department of Public Works and the Hawthorne Police Department to conduct snow removal operations, ensuring safe travel conditions and access for emergency services.

All vehicles must be removed from the listed streets by 6:00 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
Vehicles remaining in violation may be subject to enforcement.
