As part of the Oakland Police Department’s ongoing commitment to combat human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, investigators recently conducted two targeted enforcement operations along the International Boulevard corridor, an area heavily impacted by these crimes.
On February 10, 2026, OPD arrested six men, two from Oakland, two from San Francisco, one from San Leandro, and one from Richmond, for solicitation of prostitution and for loitering with intent to purchase commercial sex.
On February 6, 2026, five men, two from Oakland, one from San Pablo, one from Menlo Park, and one from the state of Florida, were arrested for loitering with intent to solicit prostitution.
This year, 56 men have been arrested during these targeted human trafficking enforcement investigations. These actions are part of an ongoing initiative to reduce human trafficking along the International Boulevard corridor by holding sex buyers accountable, disrupting commercial sexual exploitation, and improving safety in affected areas.
In addition to enforcement, OPD prioritizes connecting individuals experiencing exploitation to services and resources that support their safety and well-being.
OPD remains dedicated to working alongside community members, advocacy partners, and service providers to address human trafficking, support victims, and enhance safety throughout Oakland.
