Incident:                      Charges Filed in Little League Embezzlement Investigation
Report Number:          25-3651

Initial Incident:
On October 20, 2025, the Petaluma Police Department launched an investigation after receiving allegations of financial misconduct involving former Petaluma American Little League (PALL) Treasurer Emily Parker (46). The initial complaint reported that approximately $40,000 in league funds may have been misappropriated over several years.

Detectives assigned to the case began a detailed financial investigation that included extensive document analysis, numerous search warrants, and interviews with representatives from multiple financial institutions as well as witnesses. As investigators traced account activity and compared internal records to official financial data, they uncovered numerous pieces of evidence suggesting the scope of the suspected misconduct was even greater than initially reported.

Through this process, detectives identified more than $60,000 in alleged unauthorized transfers from league accounts. Investigators also discovered signs of systematic alteration of financial records provided to league officials, including deleted and renamed transactions, as well as fabricated bank statements. Additional evidence further indicated that league funds were presumably being used for personal expenses.

After uncovering these discrepancies, Petaluma PD detectives submitted the case to the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Case Update:
As of February 11, 2026, the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office has filed criminal charges against Emily Parker, including multiple counts of felony forgery, grand theft, and an enhancement for losses exceeding $50,000.

The Petaluma Police Department extends its gratitude to the Petaluma American Little League board members and community members who came forward with information. Their cooperation was instrumental in ensuring a thorough investigation.
