Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 02/11/2026 at approximately 1132 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a two vehicle crash in the area of M-62 in front of Lyon’s Industries, Pokagon Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Kenneth Howard (73 years old from Dowagiac, MI) was Eastbound on M-62 when he failed to stop for slowing traffic, causing a rear-end collision with a vehicle driven by George Laing (78 years old from Dowagiac,MI). George’s passenger, Jane Laing (71 years old from Dowagiac, MI) and Kenneth Howard were transported by SMCAS Ambulance to Beacon Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were SMCAS Ambulance, Indian Lake Township Fire Department, and Baryy’s Towing.
