This weekend, DPR is hosting the 39th Annual Black History Invitational Swim Meet (BHISM), and some pool operations will be impacted.
The following aquatic centers will be OPEN on Saturday and Sunday, February 14 & 15:
- Deanwood Aquatic Center (1350 49th Street, NE)
- Saturday & Sunday: 10 AM - 5 PM
- Wilson Aquatic Center (4551 Fort Drive, NW)
- Saturday & Sunday: 10 AM - 5 PM
The operations of the following aquatic centers will be impacted:
- Takoma Aquatic Center (300 Van Buren Street, NW) will serve as the host site for the BHISM and will be closed to the public Friday-Sunday, February 13-15.

Turkey Thicket Aquatic Center (1100 Michigan Avenue, NE) will be offline for annual scheduled maintenance and updates starting February 14.

Marie Reed Aquatic Center (2200 Champlain Street, NW) will be offline on Saturday, February 14.

Dr. William H. Rumsey Aquatic Center (635 North Carolina Avenue, SE) will be offline on Saturday, February 14.

Ferebee-Hope Aquatic Center (700 Yuma Street, SE) will be offline on Saturday, February 14.

Reservoir Park Aquatic Center (10 Lower Service Court NW) will be offline on Saturday, February 14.

Joy Evans Therapeutic Aquatic Center (3030 G Street, SE) will be offline on Saturday, February 14.
NOTE: All DPR facilities (including all aquatic centers) will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents Day.
