Meridian Police Seeking Public’s Assistance Identifying Aggravated Assault Suspect
Meridian, ID — The Meridian Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault that occurred during the early morning hours of January 21, 2026.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded to the area near W. Baldcypress St. and N. Centrepoint Way after receiving a report of a male subject attempting to burglarize vehicles. During the incident, the suspect followed and approached a young female near the apartment complex located in the 3700 block of N. Centrepoint Way and pointed a handgun at her.
The victim believes the suspect to be a juvenile male.
The suspect is described as an unknown male wearing a mask, a black North Face puffy vest, and black pants. He was riding a scooter at the time of the incident. The scooter was later located abandoned in the area and has been taken into evidence.
