Rialto Police Department Announces 7-Week Citizens Academy Program

Rialto, CA — The Rialto Police Department is pleased to announce the launch of its upcoming Citizens Academy, a seven-week program designed to provide community members with an in-depth look at law enforcement operations and public safety services.

The Citizens Academy offers residents and individuals who live or work in Rialto a unique opportunity to learn about the role of the police department, engage directly with officers, and gain a greater understanding of how law enforcement serves the community. The program also supports the department’s ongoing efforts to build stronger, more meaningful relationships with the community it serves.

Through transparency, education, and open dialogue, the Citizens Academy seeks to foster positive partnerships and encourage participants to become informed and engaged members of the Rialto community.

Program Details:
  • Dates: Thursdays, March 19 through April 30
  • Time: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Duration: Seven weeks
  • Location: Rialto Police Department Training Office (exact location provided upon acceptance)
  • Availability: Space is limited
Participation in the Citizens Academy is subject to successfully passing a criminal background check and meeting a minimum age requirement of 18 years. Community members interested in learning more or applying to participate are encouraged to contact the Rialto Police Department.
