SVRLCH The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southeastern Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana...

* Until 815 PM CST.

* At 751 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located over New Llano, or near Leesville, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Leesville, Fort Polk, Slagle, New Llano, Lacamp, Fullerton, Cravens, and Pickering.

* AFFECTED AREAS: VERNON, LA

Instructions:

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into a small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CST for central and west central Louisiana.
