On February 15, 2026, at approximately 3:47 p.m., an officer with the Simi Valley Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Easy Street after observing a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations.
During the initial contact, the driver was advised of the reason for the stop. As the interaction progressed, the driver became increasingly argumentative and aggressive towards the officers. Officers made multiple attempts to de-escalate the situation and issued clear, lawful commands to the driver.
The situation subsequently escalated into a physical altercation between the driver and responding officers. Officers used force to gain control of the subject and place him into custody.
The driver, 23-year-old Daniel Jacobo of Los Angeles, was arrested for violation of 148(a)(1) PC (Resisting, Delaying, or Obstructing a Peace Officer) and transported to the Ventura County Jail.
No officers were injured during the incident.
