One Arrested and Eight Cited at Simi Valley DUI Checkpoint
Simi Valley, Calif. – On February 13, 2026, one person was arrested for DUI and eight drivers were cited for driving without a license at a DUI checkpoint on February 13, 2026.
The DUI checkpoint was held at E. Los Angeles Avenue and Bridget Avenue from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Eight drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 845 vehicles were contacted. One driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (23152(a)&(b) VC).
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
The next DUI checkpoint will be held on March 13, 2026.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
