Deputies Arrest Two, recover 3D-Printed Firearm and Ammunition After Receiving Man with a Gun Call

SUSPECT(S): Jimmy Hostmark, 61-years-old, Resident of Adelanto
Joshua Markanson, 34-years-old, Resident of Adelanto

SUMMARY: On Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 5:40 p.m., deputies from Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Clay Way and Silver Creek Canyon Road in Lucerne Valley for a report of a man with a gun. The reporting party advised dispatch that he was monitoring his property, via a live video feed, and observed two adult males on the premises. While watching the live feed he also reported hearing gunshots being fired.
Prior to their arrival, deputies requested assistance from California Highway Patrol Aviation (H80), which observed the two adult males leaving the location in a gray Toyota 4Runner. An aviation flight crew member observed a bag being thrown from the vehicle as it fled. Deputies arrived to the area and conducted a traffic stop on the 4Runner and detained Jimmy Hostmark and Joshua Markanson. Deputies located the bag nearby and found a handgun and a 3D printed assault rifle that had been disassembled.
On Monday, February 16, 2026, at 12:37 p.m., investigators with Victor Valley Sheriff Station served a search warrant in the 10000 block of Pepper Street in Adelanto in relation to the 3D printed weapon. During the search warrant, deputies located 130 polymer 80 jigs, miscellaneous gun parts, ammunition, black 3D printer filament, and a 3D printing guide for different firearms.
Jimmy Hostmark was arrested and charged with PC29800(A)(1) – Felon in possession of a firearm, PC30305(A)(1) – unlawful possession of ammunition, PC594(B)(1) – Vandalism. Joshua Markanson was arrested and charged with PC594(B)(1)- Vandalism. Both were transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center.
