Driver Arrested After Freeway Pursuit from Rancho Cucamonga to Los Angeles

INCIDENT: VC2800.2 (A)- Felony Evading, Disregard for Safety
LOCATION: Haven Ave. / Town Center Dr., Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Javier Mora, 41-year-old, Resident of Fontana.
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Monday, February 16, 2026, at approximately 10:09 p.m., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station were actively patrolling in the area of Haven Ave. and Town Center Dr. when they observed a Blue Ford F-150, run a red light at the intersection.
Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle for the traffic violation. The driver failed to yield, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was later identified as Javier Mora. Mora willfully and recklessly evaded deputies onto the freeway and into the Los Angeles area. CHP officers assisted deputies and took over the pursuit. Mora eventually pulled over on the freeway and was taken into custody.
Javier Mora was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for VC2800.2(A)- Felony evading with disregard for safety.
