A Ramadan Message from Mayor Tom Giordano
My Dear Neighbors & Friends:
Today marks the beginning of Ramadan for our Muslim friends and neighbors. It’s a holy month of fasting, prayerful study, and self-reflection.
According to Islamic tradition, Ramadan is the month God revealed the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims all over the world use this month as a time to purify their minds, bodies, and souls.
It is also a time for charity and good deeds. Regardless of our faith, may we all look within ourselves to see how we can be of service to each other and our community.
On behalf of myself, my wife and the Waldwick Borough Council, I bid our Muslim brothers and sisters in our community and all communities a beautiful and blessed Ramadan.
May you have a healthy and holy feast filled with love, joy, grace and peace. May all your prayers be answered this Ramadan and always. May Gods peace be unto you, Ramadan Mubarak.
