Hesperia Man Arrested in Stalking of Woman and Child at Victor Valley Transit Center

SUSPECT: Raymond Macias, 78-year-old, Resident of Hesperia
VICTIM: Confidential, 29-year-old Female, 5-year-old Juvenile
SUMMARY: On February 16, 2026, investigators from the Transit Operations Division’s, Victor Valley Transit Detail, arrested Raymond Macias, 78, of Hesperia, in connection with a series of incidents involving the harassment and stalking of an adult female transit rider and her 5-year-old juvenile child in the High Desert.
Macias was taken into custody at his residence and booked on charges of PC 647.6(a)(1) - Annoying or Molesting a Child Under 18 and PC 646.9(a) - Stalking.
The investigation began after security personnel at the Victor Valley Transportation Center reported a male suspect who had been following females from various bus stops throughout the High Desert to the transportation center in Victorville. The suspect also attempted to persuade victims to enter into his vehicle, described as a red, 2004 Chevrolet Silverado.
Through the investigation Macias was identified as the suspect involved in these incidents.
Investigators are releasing photographs of Macias and his vehicle in an effort to identify any additional victims or witnesses.
