The Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety reminds residents to lock their vehicle doors at night.
Since last Saturday, there have been more than 12 incidents involving property stolen from unlocked vehicles. Recent incidents have occurred in the 400 blocks near Mack Avenue. The streets of Belanger, Hillcrest, Manor, and Ridgemont have all experienced thefts.
Our detectives are actively working on leads. The current pattern involves a single vehicle dropping off suspects, who quickly check the door handles of parked vehicles before leaving the area.
