Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., requests the public’s help in identifying the pictured male suspect in connection with a package theft that occurred on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
The victim reported that a package delivered to his residence, in the 600 block of S. 17th Street, was removed by a male suspect at approximately 4:43 p.m. The package contained a rug valued at over $150.00.
The suspect was wearing a gray peacoat with a light gray hooded sweatshirt underneath, and black and white Vans.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
