SUMMARY: On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Gang/Narcotics Division along with deputies from the Yucaipa Station's Solutions Oriented Policing (SOP) Team, served a search warrant in the 13100 block of Maplewood Drive in Yucaipa. The warrant stemmed from an investigation involving the sale of illegal narcotics and the unlawful possession of firearms.

During the search of the residence, deputies located multiple firearms, ammunition, and suspected fentanyl. Deputies also discovered several suspected explosive devices inside the residence.

Due to the potential danger posed by the devices, deputies immediately implemented safety protocols, contacted the Sheriff’s Department Bombs and Arson Division, and established a safety perimeter. As a precaution, approximately ten homes along Maplewood Drive were evacuated to ensure the safety of nearby residents.

Investigators from the Bombs and Arson Division, along with Federal Agents from the FBI and ATF responded to the scene. After examining the devices, personnel safely rendered the items inoperable and removed them for proper disposal. Once the area was determined to be safe, residents were allowed to return to their homes.

As a result of the investigation, William Pedrino was arrested for possession of materials with intent to manufacture a destructive device or explosive, possession of a destructive device, and being under the influence of a controlled substance while in possession of a loaded firearm. Joshua McMullin and Noel Montiel were arrested for probation violations. All three individuals were booked into the Central Detention Center.
