Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man on drug charges.
On February 17th at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force located a wanted subject, 27-year-old Jabri Hunter in the 2300 block of Jessup Street. Officers attempted to make contact with Hunter, who fled the area on foot. After a short foot pursuit, officers took Hunter into custody without further incident. Officers recovered 122 bags containing 3.66 grams of suspected Heroin.
Hunter has been charged with the following offense in addition to his outstanding charges:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance- Tier 2
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $5,000 cash-only bail.
