Incident #: 2026-72 - Shoplifting
Date/Time:  January 2, 2026, at approximately 9:19 a.m.
Location:  Home Goods - 201 Nassau Park Boulevard

Suspect Description:
Unknown white female, blonde hair, wearing a light-colored sweatshirt.

Details:  Police responded to Home Goods for a reported past shoplifting that occurred on December 31, 2025. Store asset protection reported observing the suspect enter the store and place multiple items into a shopping cart. The suspect later removed four items from the cart and exited the store without paying. When confronted outside the store, the suspect dropped three items and fled on foot toward the nearby shopping center. The recovered merchandise was valued at approximately $78, with a total value of approximately $79 taken. The suspect remains unidentified. This incident is related to a prior shoplifting investigation.


Incident #: 2026-226 - Driving While Intoxicated
Date/Time:  January 4, 2026, at approximately 5:40 a.m.
Location:  U.S. Route 1 South and Harrison Street

Arrested:
Gaurab Gurung – 35 y/o male out of Monmouth Junction, NJ

Details:  Police responded to the area of Route 1 South and Harrison Street for a disabled vehicle. Officers located a damaged vehicle in the roadway. During the investigation, officers observed indicators of impairment while speaking with the driver. Through on-scene observations and after the individual failed field sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded. The individual was later released with summonses and has a pending court date.

Steven R. Foster – 19 y/o male out of Hamilton, NJ
Ryan M. Kerr – 19 y/o male out of Hamilton, NJ

Details:  Police responded to Best Buy for a shoplifting in progress involving multiple suspects. Officers located and detained two individuals who were observed concealing merchandise. Both individuals removed unpaid items from their clothing when confronted by police. Store management requested prosecution. The individuals were placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. Foster was additionally charged in connection with prior shoplifting incidents at the same location. Both individuals were released with summonses and have pending court dates. They were also trespassed from the store

 
Incident #: 2026-451 - Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards
Date/Time: January 6, 2026, at approximately 9:25 p.m.
Location: 3499 U.S. Route 1 area - Wawa

Suspect Description:
Black male, heavyset, bald, with a dark beard. Last seen wearing a black jacket, tan pants, tan and black boots, and a black beanie.

Details:  Police met with a victim who reported his wallet was inadvertently left inside a rental vehicle and later went missing. The victim was subsequently notified of an attempted unauthorized debit card withdrawal at a local convenience store, which was unsuccessful. Through investigative means, police reviewed surveillance footage showing an individual matching the suspect description attempting to use an ATM and later making a small purchase inside the store before leaving the area in a minivan. The investigation is ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-877 - Theft by Deception / Identity Theft
Date/Time: January 11, 2026, at approximately 11:20 a.m.
Location: Police Headquarters

Details:  Police met with a victim who reported being contacted by an individual claiming to represent a cellular phone provider. The victim was directed to access a link, after which unauthorized changes were made to his mobile phone accounts, resulting in service disruptions. The victim later discovered unauthorized access attempts to multiple financial accounts, including credit card and banking services. Several transactions were declined or flagged as suspicious by financial institutions. The incident is being investigated as theft by deception and identity theft.

Date/Time: January 11, 2026, at approximately 11:59 a.m.
Location: 3535 U.S. Route 1 - Barnes & Noble

Suspect Description:
White male, approximately 5'5", wearing all black clothing, including a coat, hoodie, mask, pants, and shoes.

Details:  Police responded to Barnes & Noble for a reported past shoplifting involving vinyl records. Store management reported reviewing surveillance footage showing the suspect enter the store on two separate occasions, remove security sensors from multiple vinyl records, conceal the items, and exit the store without paying. The total value of the stolen merchandise was approximately $137. The investigation is ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-881 - Shoplifting
Date/Time: January 11, 2026, at approximately 12:51 p.m.
Location: 500 Nassau Park Blvd - Target

Accused:
Donte T. Jones 43 y/o male out of Lawrence, NJ

Details:  Police met with store asset protection regarding a shoplifting incident that occurred earlier in the month. Through investigative means, it was determined that the accused removed a boxed coffee machine from the store without paying and placed it into a waiting vehicle before leaving the area. The accused was charged with shoplifting and issued a summons. The accused has a pending court date.


Incident #: 2026-973 - Shoplifting
Date/Time: January 12, 2026, at approximately 12:41 p.m.
Location: 3535 U.S. Route 1 - Williams-Sonoma

Suspect Description:
Black female, heavyset, last seen wearing a brown hat, brown sweater, brown pants, and dark-colored sneakers. The suspect was also carrying a black cross-body backpack.
 
Details:  Police responded to Williams-Sonoma for a reported past shoplifting involving a physical confrontation. Store employees reported that the suspect attempted to leave the store with a large appliance without paying and used physical force to push a shopping cart toward a customer who attempted to intervene. The suspect ultimately left the store with additional merchandise and fled to a vehicle in the parking lot. The investigation is ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-999 - Shoplifting
Date/Time: January 12, 2026, at approximately 5:56 PM
Location: 3535 U.S. Route 1 - GAP

Suspect Descriptions:
Two unknown Black males. Suspect #1 is described as having a full beard and wearing brown Carhartt overalls and a matching hat. Suspect #2 is described as having dreadlocks, no facial hair, and wearing gray sweatpants, a zipped hoodie, and a black hat.

Details:  On the above date and time, officers responded to a report of a past-tense shoplifting. An investigation determined that on January 11, 2026, two suspects entered the store, selected a reusable shopping bag, and filled it with merchandise. After the store closed, the suspects exited through the main entrance, passing all points of sale without rendering payment. Through investigative means, store surveillance footage was reviewed and corroborated the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-1105 - Shoplifting & Eluding
Date/Time: January 13, 2026, at approximately 1:51 PM

Accused:
La’Mya E. Morris – 20 y/o female out of Dover, DE

Suspect Descriptions:
Two Black female suspects. Suspect #1 is described as a Black female with an average build wearing a black and white sweatshirt, black sweatpants, white sneakers, and a white beanie. Suspect #2 is described as a light-skinned female, possibly Black or Hispanic, with a small build wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and black footwear.

Details: Officers responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress. An investigation determined that three suspects entered the store, selected shopping bags, and removed multiple items from the fragrance section before exiting without payment. The suspects fled the area in a vehicle bearing a Delaware registration. An attempted motor vehicle stop was initiated by a responding officer; however, the vehicle fled and the attempt was terminated for safety reasons.
Further investigation revealed that La’Mya E. Morris was one of the suspects involved in the shoplifting incident. A summons was subsequently completed and mailed to her last known address advising her of her pending court appearance.


Incident #: 2026-1331 - Burglary
Date/Time: January 15, 2026, at approximately 10:05 AM
Location: Old Trenton Road area

Details: Officers responded to a report of a past-tense burglary involving construction storage containers. An investigation determined that during overnight hours, an unknown suspect cut a lock on a shipping container using a power tool. Surveillance imagery showed a dark-colored sedan entering and exiting the area. The investigation is ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-1376 - Attempted License Plate Theft
Date/Time: January 15, 2026, at approximately 6:33 PM
Location: Windsor Plaza parking lot

Suspect Description:
A young Hispanic male with short black hair, wearing a long-sleeve black shirt, black pants, and black shoes.

Details:  Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity. An investigation determined that the suspect attempted to remove a front license plate from a parked vehicle using a screwdriver but left the area before completing the theft. The incident was captured on vehicle surveillance footage and submitted as evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-1381 - Burglary
Date/Time: January 15, 2026, at approximately 8:35 PM
Location: A residence on Hawk Drive

Details:  Officers responded to a report of a residential burglary. An investigation determined that an unknown suspect gained entry by prying open a rear window after cutting a screen. Once inside, the suspect disturbed multiple rooms and forced open a safe. Detectives processed the scene and the investigation is ongoing.


Incident #: 202600001502 - Attempted Burglary
Date/Time: January 16, 2026, at approximately 6:25 PM

Location: A residence on Victoria Place
 
Details:  Officers responded to a burglary alarm activation. An investigation determined that an unknown suspect attempted to gain entry by cutting a window screen and prying open a rear window, damaging the locking mechanism and triggering the alarm. A K-9 track and neighborhood canvas were conducted with negative results. The residence was secured and no entry into the home was confirmed. The investigation remains ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-1691 - Car Fire
Date/Time: January 19, 2026, at approximately 4:10 PM
Location: US Route 1 southbound, near Carnegie Center Drive
Reporting Officer: Ptl. Edward McQuade #597

Details:  While responding to a separate motor vehicle crash, Ptl. McQuade observed a disabled vehicle on the shoulder with smoke billowing from the engine compartment. The registered owner and operator confirmed the vehicle was on fire. A fire extinguisher was deployed with negative results, and the West Windsor Fire Department was requested and responded, extinguishing the fire. The operator reported noticing smoke coming from the vents while driving and safely pulling over. The vehicle was towed from the scene.


Incident #: 2026-1724 - Burglary
Date/Time: January 20, 2026, at approximately 1:20 AM
Location: A residence on Deerfield Drive

Details:  Patrol responded to a reported residential burglary. Officers observed a rear window open with the screen cut. The residence was cleared by patrol with no intruders located. The homeowners reported returning from an extended vacation and later discovering the window damaged and property missing from the master bedroom. The scene was processed by detectives, and the incident remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau.

Suspect 1: Black male, approximately 25–50 years old, wearing a brown jacket, black hoodie, blue jeans, white shoes, with facial hair
Suspect 2: Black male, approximately 25–50 years old, wearing a black winter beanie, dark pants, orange shoes, with facial hair

Details:  Patrol responded to a reported shoplifting involving two suspects who exited the store without paying for merchandise. Officers canvassed the area with negative results. Store personnel reported the suspects entered the store together, selected merchandise, and one suspect exited passing all points of sale without rendering payment. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. The investigation is ongoing.


Incident #: 2026-2063 - Shoplifting
Date/Time: January 23, 2026, at approximately 3:35 PM
Location: Home Depot, Nassau Park

Accused: Bernard White – 61 y/o male out of Lawrence, NJ

Details:  Patrol responded to a reported shoplifting. The suspect was located nearby and detained. Through investigative means, including a positive show-up identification and review of surveillance footage, it was determined the individual concealed merchandise and exited the store without payment. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later released with a summons and has a pending court date.


Incident #: 2026-2094 - Burglary / Motor Vehicle Theft
Date/Time: January 24, 2026, at approximately 5:15 AM
Location: A residence on Village Road West

Suspect Descriptions:
Three unidentified males wearing dark clothing, masks, and gloves
 
Details:  Patrol responded to a report of a residential burglary and motor vehicle theft. The victim reported waking to a disturbance and later discovering a vehicle missing from the driveway and signs of forced entry through a first-floor window. Surveillance footage showed three suspects entering the residence and later fleeing the area. The stolen vehicle was entered into NCIC and later located in another jurisdiction, where it was recovered. Detectives processed the scene.


Incident #: 2026-2147 - Stolen Motor Vehicle
Date/Time: January 24, 2026, at approximately 7:41 PM
Location: A residence on Priory Road

Suspect Description:
Unidentified white male, approximately 5’10”, blonde hair; accompanied by an unidentified white female seated in a tow truck

Details:  Patrol responded to police headquarters for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported arranging vehicle transportation through a third-party carrier. Surveillance footage showed the victim loading the vehicle onto a tow truck operated by an individual who identified himself only by first name. The vehicle was later determined not to have arrived at its intended destination. Subsequent attempts to obtain information from involved transportation companies yielded inconsistent statements. After confirming the vehicle was not in police custody, it was entered into NCIC as stolen. The investigation remains ongoing.


 

Incident #: 2026-2559 - Shoplifting / Trespassing
Date/Time: Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:40 PM
Location: Nassau Park Blvd. area
Arresting Officer: Ptl. Corbin Connell #5116

Arrested:
Natqwan T. Cameron -  47 y/o male out of Trenton, NJ

Details:  Patrol units responded to a report of a shoplifting in progress at TJ Maxx. Through investigation, officers determined Cameron, who had previously been verbally trespassed from TJ Maxx, entered Burlington while in possession of unpaid TJ Maxx merchandise. Officers located Cameron inside Burlington and observed him attempting to leave the store carrying merchandise. He was stopped prior to exiting, taken into custody without incident, and found to be in possession of a knife.
     A search incident to arrest revealed multiple items stolen from TJ Maxx, as well as additional merchandise from Burlington, Wegmans, and Dick’s Sporting Goods. All merchandise was recovered and returned. Cameron was trespassed from these stores.  Cameron was transported to police headquarters, processed, and charged with Shoplifting and Trespassing. He was released with a summons and has a pending court date.


Incident #: 2026-2677 - Theft by Deception
Date/Time: Friday, January 30, 2026, at 7:48 PM
Location: Police Headquarters

Details:  Officers responded to police headquarters to take a report of a past-tense theft. The victim reported being contacted beginning in October 2025 by individuals claiming to represent a medical insurance company and law enforcement officials in China. Through an extended and ongoing scheme, the victim was led to believe he was the subject of an international fraud investigation and was instructed to wire large sums of money for investigative monitoring and bail purposes.
Over several transactions between October 2025 and January 2026, the victim transferred funds to overseas accounts as directed by the suspects. The total reported loss was $375,000. After being advised the matter was resolved and receiving no follow-up contact, the victim realized he had been defrauded and reported the incident.  The incident remains under investigation.
