Sheriff’s Office makes arrest in connection to Burton Shooting


As part of an ongoing investigation into a shooting that occurred on Charity Drive in Burton on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Northern Investigations section has arrested 21-year-old Neaemiah Nasir Silas Green-Rogers of Burton.

Shortly before 2 p.m. on Wednesday Deputies responded to a residence on Charity Drive in reference to a report of a shooting which just occurred.  The investigation revealed that a 17-year-old male victim was shot at by Neaemiah Nasir Silas Green-Rogers.  The victim was not injured and was able to run inside the residence.  Additional shots were fired at the residence while the victim retreated. 

An arrest warrant was obtained for Green-Rogers for Attempted Murder. Green-Rogers was arrested today, February 20, 2026. A search warrant was also conducted and the gun believed to be used in the shooting was recovered.

This incident is still being actively investigated anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the lead investigator, Sergeant Lidey, 843-255-3294.
