INCIDENT: Possession of Drugs for Sale
LOCATION: Iroquois Road and Mockingbird Avenue, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Eric Claudio, 30-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Thursday, February 19, 2026, deputies with the Apple Valley Station Gang Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Iroquois Road and Mockingbird Avenue on a vehicle for multiple vehicle code violations. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located approximately 2.5 ounces of suspected cocaine, 1.5 ounces of suspected methamphetamine and additional evidence consistent with illegal narcotics sales. The driver of the vehicle, Eric Claudio, was detained without incident.
Through investigation deputies identified a residence associated with Claudio in the City of Hesperia. A search warrant for that residence was authored and served at that location. During the service of the warrant, deputies recovered approximately $18,000 in U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from illegal narcotics sales. The suspected narcotics were sent to the Sheriff’s crime lab for analysis.
Claudio was transported and booked at High Desert Detention Center for possession of a controlled substance for sale and is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
